Several residents in Williamsville and Tabaquite are marooned, and some areas are impassable due to flood waters.Guardian Media understands some of the affected areas include the Guaracara Junction near Rebecca Hill and Guaracara Tabaquite Road near Esmeralda Junction impassable.A vehicle got stuck while trying to pass along the Guaracara Tabaquite Road in Tabaquite by a landslide that has covered half of the road.”All this is happening and no signs of water subsiding as the rain has not stopped since last night. Persons are marooned in their homes, unable to go to work,” said a resident.Meanwhile, Penal Debe Regional Corporation chairman, Dr Allen Sammy, said there are reports of roadside flooding, but he expects the situation to worsen, especially if the rains continue.He said their Disaster Management Unit is on standby.
