A 17-year-old individual, accused of committing robberies in three separate incidents, has been detained in His Majesty’s Prison.
The underage suspect appeared before the Child Justice Board today, and their name cannot be disclosed due to legal restrictions.
The teenager from Villa faces charges of Robbery and Shooting with Intent to cause Grievous Bodily Harm related to an incident at St Joseph’s Academy on June 4.
A 16-year-old from Paynters was apprehended as the second suspect in connection with the same event and is currently being questioned.
The police claim that the two males captured on the school’s surveillance camera used a flare gun to injure an employee during the robbery.
The 17-year-old has also been indicted for robbery in connection with two prior incidents: one on April 11 in Villa and another on May 14 at Campsite.
