POINTE XPRESS- Jeson Cedeno, 28, of Liberta, is scheduled to reappear in the Magistrate Court (District B) on Thursday for possible sentencing after pleading guilty to firearms-related charges on Monday.
Cedeno faced multiple charges, including possession of cannabis with intent to sell, along with the possession of a 9mm Glock pistol and four rounds of ammunition. He was jointly charged with a female companion, Kamyliah Daniel, 24, of Villa.
During the court proceedings, Daniel pleaded not guilty, represented by attorney Sherfield Bowen. Following her plea, the prosecution decided to withdraw all charges against her.
Cedeno, however, admitted guilt regarding the firearms charges but denied the charges related to possession of cannabis. The prosecution withdrew those charges as well. Magistrate Ngaio Emanuel adjourned the matter until Thursday, remanding Cedeno to HM Prison until then.
In a separate case, two individuals from Clark’s Hill—41-year-old Jowato Geno Athill and 33-year-old Adiva Collins—have been remanded in prison after appearing before Magistrate Emanuel on charges of possession of ammunition. They are accused of possessing multiple caliber rounds of ammunition without holding a firearms license. Both pleaded not guilty, and the court ordered a disclosure period of 21 days, setting the trial date for December 10 and 11. The prosecution is expected to call five witnesses, while the defense indicated it will call four witnesses.
