Customers of the APUA Inet are gradually receiving service after the
network went down early Thursday morning, November 16.
Some of Inet’s clients report that they experienced service
disruptions sometime after midnight on Wednesday.
Many of them took to social media to complain about the
interruptions with their mobile networks and broadband Internet
services.
One individual told our News Department that her service was
restored some time after 1 p.m. on Thursday.
The Antigua Public Utilities Authority, in a press release issued on
November 16, noted that its technicians were actively resolving the
issue, and services were gradually being restored.
Inet, the commercial brand of the APUA Telecommunications
Business Unit, acknowledged the disruptions, saying it was working
to bring a swift resolution to the matter.
The company has also expressed “sincere apologies for any
inconvenience caused.”
