A former Hadeed Motors employee, Dylan Simon pleaded not guilty to six charges related to an alleged scam at the car dealership.
Simon, who worked at Hadeed Motors from 1998 to 2020, handling transactions and financial matters, was scrutinized during a manual transaction period from April to May 2020 due to the Covid-19 lockdown.
Discrepancies in his transactions were noticed during a routine audit when the business reopened in late May.
Subsequent investigations revealed discrepancies in bank deposits, unauthorized release of a vehicle, and fraudulent activities.
Now in his 40s, Simon denies all charges and is set to face trial on January 24 before Justice Tunde Bakre.
