During the initial week of September, the Honourable E. P. Chet Greene, who serves as the Minister of Foreign Affairs, extended a warm welcome to Antigua and Barbuda for newly accredited Ambassadors. These distinguished diplomats include:
- H. E Anders Bengtcén, the Ambassador of Sweden to Antigua and Barbuda.
- H.E José Antonio Cabedo, the Ambassador of the Republic of Chile to Antigua and Barbuda.
- H.E Yaser Awad Al-Abdulla, the Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Antigua and Barbuda.
Throughout their bilateral discussions, Minister Greene engaged in conversations covering significant areas of interest to the Government and citizens of Antigua and Barbuda. These discussions encompassed topics such as education, climate-related challenges, and technical cooperation. Minister Greene additionally expressed his Ministry’s and staff’s commitment to reinforcing collaboration in areas of mutual concern, with the ultimate goal of advancing the well-being of both nations’ populations.
The visiting Ambassadors also had the privilege of making courtesy calls to the Honourable Gaston Browne, the Prime Minister of Antigua and Barbuda, as well as other high-ranking officials during their official visit.
