Keithesha Edwards, 21, of Belmont, faces additional fraud charges after allegedly misusing nearly $100,000 in box money, an informal savings arrangement. Police reports indicate she may have spent the funds on personal expenses.
Edwards allegedly deceived several individuals, including George Hourani ($42,000), Marcel Scotland ($4,400), Nicole Cumberbatch ($4,800), Winston Morris of Swetes ($4,800), and Grace Walters ($5,100), by pretending to collect box money on their behalf.
Other victims include Dwayne Hunte ($4,950), Francisa Charles of Nut Grove ($38,025), Keithroy Johannes of Bolans ($33,300), and Teori Edwards of Bethesda ($4,200). Edwards is expected to appear in court this week.
