The Police arrested and charged 40-year-old Renzo Eduardo Sanoja of Venezuela for having 907 grams of cocaine in his possession.
The Venezuelan national was intercepted at the V.C. Bird International Airport on Wednesday, 18 October by the Police and Customs during a joint drug operation.
During interrogation, the police discovered he had ingested a total of 74 cocaine pellets.
He was taken to the Sir Lester Bird Medical Center where he later egested the controlled substance.
He was charged with Possession of Cocaine, Importation of Cocaine, Possession with Intent to Transfer, and Being Concerned with the Supply of Cocaine.
The substance is estimated at EC$63,236. He is due to appear in the District “B” Court on Monday, 23rd October.
