United Progressive Party (UPP) caretaker for St John’s Rural North, Pearl Quinn-Williams, dismissed Prime Minister Gaston Browne’s threat of legal action over her protest placard, asserting it lacked merit.
While Browne accused her of defaming his character, Quinn-Williams clarified that her placard criticized the ruling Antigua Barbuda Labour Party administration rather than personally targeting the Prime Minister.
Browne has a history of using legal means to counter opposition claims, previously emphasizing such actions during the 2023 election campaign.
