St Kitts and Nevis government hosted the final Caribbean Premier League 2023 match starting on August 23 till August 27, 2023. The home team of the Twin Island Federation, St Kitts and Nevis Patriots, faced their last opponent on the home ground of the Warner Park Cricket Stadium in Basseterre on August 27 in a match starting at 7:00 PM EST.
The final match played between the hosts Trinidad and Tobago team, Trinbago Knight Riders resulted in the victory of the latter team by six wickets. The people of the twin islands were present at the Warner Park Cricket cricket stadium to cheer for and support their favorite team.
During the Patriots’ innings, they managed to put a score of 178 on the scoreboard for a loss of five wickets, for the opponents to chase. At the end of the innings, the team captain of the Patriots, Sherfane Rutherford, had scored a half-century and had a total of 62 on the scoreboard He remained not out at the end of 20 overs.
The captain’s efforts were further assisted by the other talented members of the team like Andre Fletcher (32) and Corbin Botch (30).
The St Kitts and Nevis Patriots team were defeated by the performances of the Trinbago Knight riders, who managed to chase the target with almost three overs of the game (17 balls) to spare.

- The Government was extremely excited to host the 2023 Caribbean Premier League matches in St Kitts. Accordingly, the Department of Youth Empowerment offered free tickets to the CPL for children aged 16 and under.
Notably, the Government of St Kitts and Nevis also hosted some matches of the CPL 22 the previous year. The Warner Park Cricket Stadium has remained a go to destination of the CPL for playing matches.
