Police are investigating the deliberate contamination of farmer John Cox’s water supply with dirty oil.
Mr. Cox, a livestock farmer in the Cades Bay Area, reported the incident to the Director of Agriculture, Mr. Gregory Bailey.
Evidence suggests it was an intentional act.
The well, frequently used by Cox and other farmers in the area, is crucial for providing water during dry seasons.
Mr. Bailey is deeply concerned about potential cross-contamination and its impact on the ecosystem.
He urges strict enforcement of the law once the culprits are caught.
Reports have been filed with the Johnsons Point police station.
