A Liberta man is in police custody after he was arrested in connection with a report of robbery and Larceny in St. Johns.
In two separate incidents on Tuesday, July 11, two females reported that they were assaulted by a man, who stole several items of value and monies from them.
In the first incident, a woman reported that she was walking along Upper Church Street, when a man allegedly robbed her of her handbag containing several valuable items and an undisclosed sum of money.
The incident occurred around 5:20 am.
Meanwhile, a woman reported she was sitting on Independence Drive around 6:40 am, when a man grabbed her handbag and ran towards the car park.
Both incidents were reported to the police and a 23-year-old resident of Liberta was apprehended and taken into custody.
