The recently concluded Piango festival honored winners in diverse agro-processing categories.
Among the accomplished recipients were Marion Walters, triumphing in the Mango Eating Competition (Children), and Jodiann Charles, taking the Pineapple Eating Competition.
Winners in agro-processing included Elsbeth Higgins for Confectioneries and Juices, Michelle Toussaint for Wines, and Nakema Williams for Cakes, Pastries, Chutney, Anchar, and Sauces.
Raquel Millington secured victory in Smoothies, Ice cream, and Sorbets, while Kema Williams excelled in Jams, Jellies, and Marmalade.
Additionally, a special award went to Greencastle Station’s juice production, receiving labels worth $250. The event was sponsored by IICA and supported by Caribbean Union Bank.
