Chief of Staff Lionel Hurst announced that only the hottest classrooms in the hottest schools in Antigua and Barbuda will be fitted with air conditioning units. The government has initiated a selective deployment of air conditioning units in schools, focusing on those with the greatest need for improved climate control.Government spokesman Lionel ‘Max’ Hurst provided an update on the strategy, emphasizing that not all schools will be outfitted with these units.“Air conditioners are deployed, but I don’t think that all schools are going to be matched with air conditioners,” Hurst stated. He explained that only classrooms in specific schools, particularly those where airflow is inadequate, will receive the units. “Those schools and those classrooms in those schools, that seemingly for one reason maybe the airflow or something is not as it ought to be, they will have the air conditioners assigned to them,” Hurst added.
