Corthwright Marshall, a long-serving member of the United Progressive Party, has passed following his battle with cancer.
Due to his illness, he withdrew from the St. Mary’s South seat candidacy in 2022, with the party citing concerns about the health impacts of campaigning.
The party decided it was unfair to subject him to the campaign’s physical and mental demands, despite his willingness to run.
Prime minister Gaston Browne in a condolence message said: Sincerest condolences to the family of the late Cortwright Marshall . May his soul rest in peace and rise glory.
