A wave of outrage has swept through social media in Jamaica following the death of a popular Jamaican TikToker, who was shot and killed by police in Antigua and Barbuda.
The man, identified as Jamar Smith, also known as “Dindin” on TikTok, was one of three suspects involved in an alleged armed robbery, according to reports.
Antigua police have not revealed the identity of those shot.
The incident occurred after the police were alerted to a robbery at a small grocery store in the Parham area. The suspects reportedly made off with approximately $1,500 in cash
Law enforcement officers quickly located the three men in Ebenezer, leading to a confrontation during which all three suspects were shot. Smith was pronounced dead at the scene, while the other two suspects were injured and are currently receiving medical treatment.
