Antigua and Barbuda are eagerly anticipating the arrival of a group of cultural artists from Nigeria during the upcoming Carnival celebrations.
The government aims to facilitate a cultural exchange, allowing the Nigerians to share their vibrant cultural heritage with the local community.
This arrangement is a testament to the government’s unwavering commitment to establish an air bridge with West Africa.
The group will be accommodated in one of Antigua’s luxurious hotels and will be transported back to Nigeria by Air Peace, the largest Nigerian air carrier, after the Carnival festivities conclude.
Air Peace has also expressed interest in investing in LIAT 2020 Ltd., as Prime Minister Gaston Browne seeks additional investors for the airline’s revitalization.
The goal is to establish regular flights between West Africa and Antigua, with LIAT facilitating connections to other Caribbean countries, and expanding its operations beyond the region.
