Magistrate Ngaio Emanuel has remanded 24-year-old Frederick Henry following his first court appearance at the District B Magistrates Court this morning.
Henry, of Golden Grove, is facing charges of attempted murder; shooting with intent to murder, and unlawful possession of a firearm and ammunition concerning the recent double shooting at Carlisle Bay Resort.
Investigators allege it was Henry, who shot and injured two Carlisle Bay Employees around 11:30 pm last Tuesday.
Thirty-three-year-old Dean Anthony and 32-year-old Morissa Henry were shot and seriously injured as they were walking to the hotel’s gate after finishing their shift
The accused is also an employee of the hotel.
Magistrates cannot offer bail on certain serious charges including Attempted Murder but Henry can apply for bail in High Court.
He will return to the Magistrates’ Court on July 12 for committal proceedings.
