John Jarvis, who assumed the role of Chairman of the Antigua and Barbuda Electoral Commission (ABEC) on April 6, 2022, has passed away.
Jarvis’s untimely demise comes as a significant blow to the electoral landscape of the twin-island nation.
Jarvis took on the crucial position following the retirement of Nathaniel “Paddy” James, a stalwart who dedicated two decades to the Commission.
His decorated career added a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the ABEC, and his sudden departure leaves a void that will undoubtedly be felt by the electoral community.
