Tianzhao ‘Alex’ Feng, the supermarket arsonist, has been released early from prison, but his whereabouts remain unknown.
Feng, a Chinese national, admitted guilt for setting fire to the XPZ store in June 2021, causing extensive damage and job losses.
While Feng was sentenced in March, his early release surprised his attorney, raising safety concerns.
According to reports he was picked up by immigration.
Feng’s passport had been confiscated upon his arrival, and his lawyer planned to seek asylum for him, highlighting his victimization as a human trafficking survivor.
