( Real News Antigua) Gunmen recently invaded the home of a 29-year-old Willoughby Bay man, making off with several items of value after they bound and
gagged him.
The victim made a report of the incident to the Dockyard Police
Station on the night of January 9.
He claimed he had been robbed by four masked men, at gunpoint, of
an I-phone valued at $3,000; a chain saw valued at $2,000; and the
key to his Toyota RAV 4.
Reportedly, the offence had occurred at Willoughby Bay at about
2:30 p.m. on January 8, the day before the report was made.
Allegations are that the victim had been at home, watching
television, when an unknown male – dark skinned and about 5 feet
8 inches in height; carrying a hand gun; and wearing a brown mask –
walked into his house.
Reportedly, the intruder then instructed the man to lie on the floor,
following which three other men wearing camouflage
-patterned masks came in.
They were all slimly built, with one being light in complexion and
the others dark skinned, and about 6 feet tall, the victim said.
Further reports say the bandits then used duct tape to tie the man’s
hands and tape his mouth. After doing so, they proceeded to ransack
the entire house and rob the victim of his valuables.
Entry into the gated property had been made from a western
direction and exit made in an eastern direction, reports add.
