(SLUTimes)Police are investigating a suspected drowning at Anse Ger, Micoud, on Sunday.
The deceased has been identified as 18-year-old Cornnie Baptiste of Anse Ger.
The incident occurred at Canelles Beach, but the circumstances were not immediately apparent.
Emergency personnel from the Micoud fire station received a call for assistance at about 5:19 p.m. and responded with a fire truck and an ambulance.
They transported the teenager to St. Jude Hospital, where a medical practitioner pronounced him dead.
