Antigua from Trinidad.
The surgery took place on Wednesday and the Cabinet has asked the nation to pray for his full recovery. Relatives report that Quinn’s brain surgery was without complications and now wait to learn his neurological status.The family of Paul Quinn – who suffered a massive stroke early Sunday morning, November 10 – is reporting that an operation conducted by a Trinidadian neurosurgeon yesterday, November 13, was successful.
According to Quinn’s wife and siblings, there were no complications with the surgery, which reportedly was needed to drain accumulated blood from Quinn’s brain. Following the procedure, his vital signs were also said to be stable.
Family members now say they are waiting to be advised of his neurological status on Thursday.
On Wednesday, amid good wishes from a wide cross-section of concerned residents and members of the Diaspora, local groups staged prayer vigils and some persons fasted for a successful surgery and Quinn’s return to good health.
