The police are continuing investigations into an incident that occurred around 8pm on Thursday, August 8, at Bishopgate Street.
The police were on mobile patrol in the city when they spotted a motor car at the corner of Pope’s Head and Bishopgate Streets with the occupants inside acting suspiciously.
The police signaled to the driver of the vehicle to stop, however, the vehicle sped away from the scene with the police in immediate pursuit.
The chase ended on Bishopgate Street after the driver collided into another vehicle.
The occupants of the vehicle were arrested and taken into custody on suspicion of robbery. No one was injured coming out the incident. Further investgations are ongoing.
