(St.LuciaTimes)On Monday August 14 2023, about 6:44 a.m. Officers attached to the Criminal Investigations Department in Castries received a report of a stabbing incident which occurred at Darling Road, Castries.
The Officers proceeded to the scene of the incident where they conducted preliminary investigations.
These investigations revealed that two male individuals were involved in a physical altercation, which resulted in one of the men sustaining an injury.
The victim was transported to the Owen King European Union Hospital (OKEUH) via a private motor vehicle.
Having conducted the initial phase of their investigations, the Officers proceeded to Owen King European Union Hospital (OKEUH), where the victim was identified as thirty (30) year old Chessy Sealy, of Conway, Castries.
Chessy Sealy succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead by a medical practitioner. The matter is now being treated as a Homicide.
One (1) male is presently in police custody assisting with investigations in relation to this incident.
