(SKNNews)Dr Terrance Drew, the Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis has extended his sincere gratitude to the national and regional leaders. He took to his social media to thank them for the support that the nationals regional counterparts extended to him after his UNGA address
Dr Drew travelled New York for the 78th edition of the United Nations General Assembly. During his trip to the General Assembly, the Prime Minister addressed the attendants on the various issues that people of the island are faced with. Some of the issue which the prime minister spoke of included:
- global inequities,
- climate justice,
- the pivotal role of small island developing states in global leadership.
During his trip, Prime Minister Drew also delivered some remarks at the United Nations High-Level Meeting on the Fight against Tuberculosis. He delivered these remarks in his capacity as Lead Head with responsibility for Health issues in the CARICOM Quasi Cabinet.
Following his address of the prime minister, he received a lot of support and applause from the international community. The prime minister’s passionate appeal towards climate justice was appreciated all over the Caribbean.
After being on the receiving side of the appreciation and praise, Dr Terrance Drew took to his social media to express his delight. He noted that he was truly overwhelmed by the outpouring of support and encouragement. He delivered his address in front of the United Nations general Assembly on Saturday, September 23, 2023.
The Prime Minister was accompanying a delegation of high level ministers and government officials to the 78th edition of the UNGA.
In his recent social media post, Dr Terrance Drew addressed the national and regional leaders. He said, “Your unwavering support and belief in our shared goals have been incredibly heartwarming. It reinforces my conviction that together, we can make a meaningful impact on the global stage.”
In this post, he also addressed the people of his country and thanked them for support, appreciation and kindness which they showered on him. He said, Your messages, kind words, and shared enthusiasm inspire me to continue working toward our vision of becoming a Sustainable Island State, for the betterment of all our people.
