( Barbados Today) Barbados Prime Minister Mia Mottley arrived in Venezuela for her first official visit on Saturday.
Mottley and her delegation which includes Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade Kerrie Symmonds and Ambassador David Comissiong received a red carpet welcome led by President Nicolas Maduro and other top Government officials.
According to the Venezuelan Foreign Ministry, the two countries will seek to strengthen relations and increase cooperation in productive areas.
The Ministry added that both countries recently reviewed joint projects to strengthen their relations in the fields of oil and agriculture at talks in Caracas held in June.
