A minibus driver, a female passenger, and a female pedestrian were in hospital on Sunday after the vehicle’s brakes failed while coming from the direction of the Cultural Centre and descending Barnard Hill in Castries.
According to reports, instead of completing a right turn into the City, the minibus ran into another vehicle, and hit the female pedestrian and a perimeter wall.
Emergency personnel from the Saint Lucia Fire Service (SLFS) Headquarters in Castries responded with a fire truck and an ambulance after receiving a distress call at about 9:47 am.
They also transported the driver of the minibus and a female passenger.
