Antigua and Barbuda’s renowned Jam Band, the Burning Flames, continues to make history by pushing the limits of what a jam band can achieve.
Recent reports indicate that Burning Flames, widely recognized as the world’s top Jam Band, is set to be inducted into the Soca Hall of Fame in a special ceremony scheduled for the end of September this year.
This prestigious event will take place in Aruba, where the band will accept the award and deliver an unforgettable performance for their fans from all corners of the globe.
This accomplishment marks a groundbreaking milestone for any jam band worldwide.These electrifying sessions became known as “Jam Pond.” Additionally, their appearances at the annual Lion’s Club Carnival dances became a staple of Antigua’s Carnival festivities for many years.
Such was the popularity of these two events that many nationals would return to Antigua every year for Carnival, specifically to attend Jam Pond and later Lion’s Den.
Burning Flames’ musical prowess and influence extended far beyond the shores of Antigua and Barbuda. Their talent was recognized when they were invited to perform the theme song for the popular movie franchise, “Weekend at Bernie’s 2.” The band has also graced stages at concerts around the world, including in the United States, Canada, the UK, Europe, and Africa.
