Pointe Xpress – The Chairman of the Antigua and Barbuda Electoral Commission (ABEC), John Jarvis, and Supervisor of Elections (Ag.) Ian Hughes were invited to the Cabinet meeting.Two main issues were addressed: determining the deadline for the by-election date following a member’s resignation from the St. Mary’s South constituency, and establishing the final day for new voter registration for the by-election.
The Cabinet agreed that the by-elections would take place no later than October 26, 2023, and new voter registration would close on July 31, 2023.
