The Development Bank of Latin America and the Caribbean (CAF) is setting up a location in the region to serve Barbados and the Eastern Caribbean.
Executive President of CAF Sergio Díaz-Granadas made the announcement on Friday while addressing the presentation of the flagship report on Economic Development – Inherited Inequalities.
“We are working on setting up an office for Barbados and the Eastern Caribbean,” she told those gathered at the Lloyd Erskine Sandiford Centre.
He said the CAF was keen on helping the Caribbean achieve its developmental needs.
The news of a regional CAF office comes exactly a week after the Africa Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank) opened a CARICOM office in Barbados.
