A Chinese national by the name of Tianzhao “Alex” Feng has been sentenced to 1 year and 2 months in prison for setting fire to XPZ Supermarket in 2021.
A Chinese national by the name of Tianzhao “Alex” Feng has been sentenced to 1 year and 2 months in prison for setting fire to XPZ Supermarket in 2021.
Feng was taken into custody and charged shortly after the building was engulfed in flames in the early hours of June 1, 2021, not be accounted for at the time.
He appeared in court later that month, and his bail was denied due to concerns that he may flee the country.
He has been held at His Majesty’s Prison since then.The destruction of the supermarket had a minor impact on the local economy, resulting in the loss of employment for numerous individuals.
