15th March 2024 – ST. John’s Antigua………. The Secretariat of the Antigua and Barbuda Labour Party extends its profound commendations to Comrade Arry Simon, Comrade Lamin Newton, and Comrade Regis Burton for their unwavering commitment and diligence exhibited during the All Saints West Primary.
The Primary, conducted on Friday, March 15th, 2024, from 4 pm to 8 pm at the Seaview Farm Primary School, yielded the following decisive results: Regis Burton – 142 votes, Lamin Newton – 157 votes, and Arry Simon – 60 votes, yielding a total 359 votes.We commend the agents of each candidate for their diligence during the electoral process who thoroughly ensured that the process of a free and fair election was conducted.
In accordance with the solemnity of the electoral process, as stipulated in the candidate declaration, duly signed by all three candidates, and underscored by the resolution passed at the Executive level, it is imperative to note that victory is conferred upon the candidate who secures an outright majority, defined as 50 percent plus 1 of casted votes.
