St. John’s, Antigua November 20, 2025 – The Gray’s Green Sports Club has benefitted from a financial contribution from CIBC Caribbean as part of the bank’s recognition of International Men’s Day on Wednesday November 19.
Michael Roach, Platinum Banking Manager, who made the presentation to the club, noted that this contribution continues the bank’s commitment to our young people and our communities.

“The Gray’s Green Sports Club, comprises of 25 boys and young men between the ages of 8 to 15 years old, living within the Gray’s Farm and Green Bay areas. As we celebrate International Men’s Day, we wanted to send a clear message to our boys and young men that you are valued. Sport is not only good for the healthy development of the body but also teaches discipline and team work, “he said.
Mr. Roach added, “I am so proud and humbled to be making this presentation on behalf of CIBC Caribbean as I am from this area and proud of it.”
The co-founder of the Club, Akeem Grant thanked the bank for its timely and much appreciated contribution and interest.
Also, as part of International Men’s Day activities, the male members of staff welcomed respected Nephrologist, Dr. Ian Thomas who made a presentation on Men’s Health and then engaged in an interactive session with the staff.
Mr. Roach thanked Dr. Thomas for the informative presentation and noted that it was very timely and in parts eye-opening, but sent a clear message to the males at the bank that they have to pay closer attention to their health.
International Men’s Day this year was celebrated under the theme, ‘Celebrating Men and Boys’.
