(SKNNews)The Department of Marine Resources in St Kitts and Nevis has called on the various fishermen of the federation to participate in the Safety at Sea. The initiative comes after the five nationals from the island of Nevis were reported lost at sea. The Department of Marine Resources in St Kitts and Nevis, took the initiative to arrange the training exersise for the people.
The team of the Department of Marine Resources in St Kitts and Nevis has invited all the fishers of the Federation of St Kitts and Nevis to a Safety at Sea training. They urged the country’s people to not let this opportunity to sharpen and improve your skills pass by. The authorities have shared some details for the schedules of the training initiatives.
In St. Kitts, the safety at sea raining will be held at Solid Waste Conference Room, Taylors, Basseterre. The event will; be held on
Wednesday 16th August, 2023. Time: Starting at 5 PM to 8 PM
In NEVIS, the event will be hosted on Nevis Disaster Management Department Conference Room, Taylors, Basseterre
The safety at sea training will be hosted on Thursday 17th August, 2023
starting at 5PM and concluding at 8 PM.

Accordingly, the initiative is one of the most prominent and critical initaitives for the safety and security of the people. The initiative comes after the unfortunate incident wherein, four nationals of Nevis were briefly lost at sea.
