Following an investigation into the theft of various items from Reginald Peterson’s property, police have arrested and charged 18-year-old Mitchy Spencer Jr. of Union Road Hatton for allegedly receiving stolen goods.
The stolen items, valued at $16,938.15, included electronics, clothing, food items, medicine, cleaning items, bank cards, and tools. Spencer Jr. is scheduled to appear in court next week.
This arrest comes after Peterson, a retired teacher and former officer of the Youth Skills Development Programme, experienced youth crime more than once in a short space of time, including the recent theft of his car while delivering food to the needy on February 21.
