Emergency personnel from the Saint Lucia Fire Service transported a motorcyclist to the OKEU Hospital on Sunday after his bike collided with a pickup truck.
The incident occurred at about 8:27 pm near the Vigie playing field in Castries.
There are no further details.
However, the collision was the latest in a spate of road incidents that prompted the Saint Lucia Fire Service last week to appeal to road users to exercise utmost caution.
The SLFS said it was concerned about the impact on surviving loved ones and emergency responders.
Fire service spokeswoman Stacy Joseph explained that the constant road incidents are physically and mentally tasking the responders and emotionally devastating to those who lose loved ones.
Saint Lucia has recorded four road fatalities for the year.
