A 47-year-old resident of Pigotts village sustained serious injuries in front of a Fort Road supermarket on Saturday, when part of the building’s overhang suddenly collapsed, causing significant harm.
It is reported that the man was asleep at the time.
Nearby KFC staff, quickly came to the man’s aid to remove the fallen structure that had severely injured the man’s leg.
Emergency services arrived later to transport him to the Sir Lester Bird Medical Center.
