The Antigua Barbuda Transport Board is to see major upgrades to its revenue collection and licensing procedures.
The plans were outlined in by portfolio Minister, Hon. Charles Fernandez during his contribution to the Budget Debate on Monday.
Minister Fernandez also outlined how the Government will address hundreds of thousands of dollars in unpaid traffic tickets.
The new Minster is on a mission to ensure that the government collects all its $600,000 owed by residents in unpaid traffic tickets.
He told Parliament on Monday that his ministry intends to tag all unpaid traffic tickets.
“From what we understand there is $600,000 in unpaid traffic tickets out there and once we can do this, we can start to collect that outstanding amount,” he said.
