ST. JOHN’S, Antigua and Barbuda – 19th December 2025…….The Government of Antigua and Barbuda has approved the payment of wages and salaries to all eligible public sector employees whose remuneration was discontinued or interrupted during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Permanent Secretaries across all Ministries have been directed to compile and verify claims from affected employees. Eligible employees are therefore required to submit their claims for payment to the Permanent Secretary in their respective Ministry no later than December 31, 2025.
This deadline is necessary to facilitate the timely verification and processing of claims. Once claims have been verified, the relevant documentation will be prepared and forwarded to the Treasury Department to begin processing payments in January 2026.
This decision underscores the Government’s commitment to restoring financial stability to employees who were impacted by pandemic-related mandates.
