For the sixth consecutive year, CIBC Caribbean rolled out its Christmas Caravan of Care, distributing $30,000 to local charities and families in need this Christmas.
According to Country Head, Ladesa James-Williams caring for our communities is a part of the bank’s culture.
“From a community standpoint, we very much believe that we have to care for our environment, we have to care for our people, we have to care for clients and employees. So, it really is a culture of care,” she said.
Prior to the Caravan moving off from the bank’s headquarters on Old Parham Road, a presentation of $2,500 was made to Dr. Edda Hadeed for the Sickle Cell Association and $5,000 to purchase household appliances was presented to a needy family, recommended by Joshuanette Francis of Good Humans 268


Then the decorated Christmas caravan moved off with a Police escort.
Stops were made at the Victory Centre, which received EC$2,500 towards children’s development

Then the Care Project received EC$5,000 towards the purchase of an AED machine

Next stop was the Disability Centre which received EC$5,000 – EC$2,500 in cheque for building upgrade and food Supplies valued EC$2,500.00

Finally, the CIBC Christmas Caravan stopped at The Soup Kitchen which received EC$10,000 towards the kitchen refurbishing.
Mrs. James-Williams said that the annual Caravan of Care has become a signature outreach programme for CIBC Caribbean, demonstrating the bank’s ongoing commitment to supporting vulnerable populations and charitable organisations at Christmas and beyond.
