Police shot and killed four people, including a Venezuelan national, in central Trinidad today.
Police said they had gone to Edinburgh 500 in Chaguanas to execute a search warrant when they came under gun fire.
The members of the Inter Agency Task Force returned fire and following the confrontation the four men were discovered with multiple gunshot wounds.
They have identified them as Richard Wilson, Demmel Howell, 22-year-old Ronniel Lara Valasquez and the fourth victim identified only as “Freddie”. The men were taken to the Chaguanas District Facility where they were pronounced dead on arrival.
Police said they had gone to the area after being informed that firearms and ammunition were hidden in the house. They said they had recovered two guns including a Glock 19 with 12 rounds of nine millimetre ammunition.
