UWI Five Islands Campus Internet Connected To Mona and Cave Hill

Pro-Vice Chancellor of the University of the West Indies Sir Hillary Beckles says that students attending the Five Islands Campus, Antigua, will be able to access library facilities of the Cave Hill and Mona Campuses

Sir Hillary stated that a team of IT Specialists have arrived in the country to ensure that the UWI Five Islands Campus is connected to the Jamaica based Mona Campus and the Cave Hill Campus in Barbados.

He stressed that the regional university has brought to Antigua one of it’s finest IT specialists from the Mona Campus .

The UWI Pro Vice-Chancellor said that the specialist will be in the country until he is satisfied that everything is working to ensure that there is seamless connectivity with the other campuses.

The visiting Pro-Vice Chancellor in an effort to allay fears about library facilities at the new campus highlighted that students from the Five Islands Campus will have the option of using the online UWI Library.

The campus is scheduled to begin classes in the first week of September, with programmes from the School of Health and Behavioral Sciences, the School of Management, Science and Technology, and the School of Humanities and Education.
