Twelve New Covid-19 Cases In Antigua and Barbuda

The most recent report received by the Ministry of Health, Wellness and the Environment from the Sir Lester Bird Medical Centre revealed twelve (12) new laboratory confirmed COVID-19 cases in Antigua and Barbuda as of Friday 8th October 2021 at 6pm.
Two hundred and fifty-three (253) samples were processed at Sir Lester Bird Medical Centre.
Ninety-seven (97) recovered cases were recorded increasing the total to two thousand six hundred and seventy-seven (2,677).
Two (2) Covid-19 related deaths were recorded increasing the total to ninety-three (93).
Consequently, the total number of persons with laboratory confirmed COVID-19 cases in Antigua and Barbuda is three thousand seven hundred and fifty (3,750); which is inclusive of nine hundred and eighty (980) active cases. There are thirty-one (31) hospitalized cases; thirteen (13) mild, fourteen (14) moderate and four (4) severe.
Meanwhile, Antigua and Barbuda has fully vaccinated forty four thousand and four hundred and five (44,405) individuals while ten thousand and thirty (10,030) have only received their first dose.
