The Demand For Aggregates In High Demand

The Cabinet has agreed that the demand for aggregates is so great and will continue to be very high for many years into the future, that it encourages at least two more entrepreneurs to make applications for the operation of quarries. The two polyclinics that are under construction; the airport in Barbuda; the highways in Antigua; the road rehabilitation projects that are soon to begin following the completion of the two highways; the housing projects in Paynters and Denfields; the 300 houses to be built in Booby Alley, Bolans and Barbuda; the several hotel projects that have begun and others yet to begin; they will all require aggregates that will increase demands from the Bendals and the Burma Quarries.
