Signed, Sealed, Delivered.

New Ophthalmologist for Antigua and Barbuda as the Medical Benefits Scheme, the Mount St John Medical Center and the Ministry of Health signed a contract on Wednesday with Trinidad Eye Hospital.

The partnership, which was signed and sealed at the Office of the Prime Minister, will see renowned Caribbean Ophthalmologist, Dr Ronnie Bhola of Trinidad and Tobago performing surgeries at the Mount St John Medical Center for one week every month beginning on October 10th, which is World Sight Day.

The signing ceremony was attended by a number of dignitaries including Health Minister-Molwyn Joseph, Permanent Secretary Joan Carrot, Chief Medical Officer-Dr Rhonda Sealy Thomas, Dr Bhola, Chairman of Mount St John Hospital Sean Cenac, and Osbert Frederick the chairman of Medical Benefits Scheme. The first phase of the contract will last for two years.
