Schoolgirl shot in PoS stable in hospital

THE 11-year-old schoolgirl shot on Monday in East Port of Spain while she was in a relative’s car was operated on and is in stable condition at hospital. The relative believes the attack was a case of mistaken identity.

Police said around 4 p.m. the girl—a standard five pupil of the Mandressa al Muslimeen Primary School in Mucurapo—and another child were sitting in the Nissan B-14 car after school. It is the policy of the Express to not identify children who are the victims of crime.
