Ruling tomorrow on plea bargain

AT 1 p.m. tomorrow, High Court judge Justice Malcolm Holdip will deliver his ruling on whether he accepts the plea agreement deal arrived at between the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) and attorneys representing British Queen’s Counsel Vincent Nelson.

Nelson, who is currently facing three conspiracy charges related to the alleged kickback of millions of dollars in legal fees to former attorney general Anand Ramlogan and attorney Gerald Ramdeen as a “gift” for receiving State briefs, reappeared before Justice Holdip in the Port of Spain High Court yesterday.
