Fellow Residents:
Today is an unhappy and distressing day for all parents and, indeed, all adults, as a nine-year-old girl has now been missing for over 18 hours
.As a father, I share the anguish of her parents, family, school, and community.
I am appealing to all Residents not only for their prayers, but for any practical assistance that can be given in the search for little Chantel Crump and the effort to bring her home safe and sound.
I am also imploring the Police, the Defense Force, and the Minister of Public Safety to pull out all the stops in their search to find this child.
Too many of our young people have been lost under mysterious circumstances. This frightening situation needs to be arrested now!
Our safety and security must become the priority of the Government and all communities. And justice for those who are lost must be pursued.
Let us work together to make our country safe for all of us.
