Ministry of Agriculture prominently featured at College and Career Fair in Barbuda

Students at the Sir McChesney George Secondary School in Barbuda responded favourably to the various displays that were mounted by the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Barbuda Affairs at the first College and Career Fair that was recently hosted by the Ministry of Education on the Sister Isle.

The Ministry’s involvement in this Programme was coordinated by Liaison Officer within the Ministry of Agriculture, Ms. Marcelle Freeland, who noted that the event attracted the Department of Chemistry and Analytical Services, the Fisheries Division and the Agriculture Extension Division.

She said that there was a wide cross section of institutions and business organisations that participated in the event and the students have expressed a general interest in a number of careers in the agriculture sector.

Mr. Ian Francis and Mr. Vernon Bird Jr. represented Analytical Services, Mr. Joel Matthew- Extension Division and Barbuda’s Fisheries Division was represented by Rishma Mansing and Zanda Desouza.
